The central government has released a big update to provide financial assistance to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan). What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started in 2019. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers of the country. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given assistance of ₹ 6000 every year, which is divided into three installments. Each installment is of ₹ 2000.
When will the 20th installment come?
The central government has told that the 20th installment under the PM Kisan Yojana will be deposited in the bank accounts of farmers in June 2025. This installment is given at an interval of every four months, and earlier the 19th installment was released on 24 February 2025.
E-KYC mandatory
To avail the benefit of the 20th installment, farmers have to complete their e-KYC process. Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC will not get the money for the next installment.
How to do e-KYC?
Farmers can complete their e-KYC in the following way
- Go to pmkisan.gov.in.
- Go to Kisan Corner and click on the “e-KYC” option.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.
- An OTP will be sent to your mobile number, enter it and verify.
- Complete the process by following all the steps.
Which farmers will not get the benefit?
Some farmers may not get the benefit of the 20th installment due to some reasons
- Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC will not get the installment money.
- Farmers whose land verification has not been completed yet may also be deprived of the benefits of this installment.
- If a farmer has submitted the wrong documents while applying, he will not be given the money of the 20th installment.
How to check the result?
When the 20th installment is released, farmers will be able to check it easily online. For this, follow the steps given below:
- Go to pmkisan.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ link on the homepage.
- Enter your Aadhaar number or mobile number.
- After clicking on the submit button, your status will appear on the screen.
